Conference on “Competition law and public procurement – two sides of the same coin”
The Polish Public Procurement Law Association (see: WWW) organized an international conference in Warsaw on the relationship between public procurement law and competition law. The event was attended by public procurement market participants (contracting authorities and contractors), public authorities involved in enforcement of the law (the Public Procurement Office, Office of Competition and Consumer Protection), and lawyers specializing in procurement procedures.
Dr Nestoruk gave a lecture on “Bid-rigging cartels in Poland – competition distortions generated by the bidders”, and talked about the current case history regarding enforcement of Article 6 section 1(7) of the Act of 16 February 2007 on Competition and Consumer Protection (text: ISAP) taking into account the new legal eforcement tools applied in Polish competition law.
